‘The acting was amazing and all the cast portrayed emotions really well! It was interesting, insightful and thought provoking.’

My name is Keziah, welcome to RAWD Reviews! I am writing this review because I love write, see theatre and share my creativity.

On the 26th of July I went to the Unity Theatre to see 20 Stories High’s Youth Theatre perform their show, The Nova Effect.

When I arrived they had a access table which I think is very important and a very good idea. The show was about Mr Peter’s science class who accidentally travel 100 years into the future, they end up in a world where the line between humans and robots is blurred.

The stage design was pretty cool as they had a screen which had a loading screen, that was also used for the news and different environments, a few panels which where used as teleportations and cool light effects. One of my favourite actors was the guy who played the bad guy. He was really good at acting and he was very funny, I definitely think he will go far in the future!

The show was amazing and I loved the relationship between Nova and one of the students, they developed a really cute friendship throughout the show. The show was pretty creepy as it was very accurate to what could happen in our future, as I am pretty sure technology will take over the world.

There were two people who sang a lot throughout the show and their voices were amazing. I also loved how their friendship became stronger through the show

One scene I thought was really cool was when two of the students played a VR game and they chose a horror game, the music became more intense and they had people come out in really creepy masks. I also thought it was really creative how they got stuck in the VR waiting room as it was unexpected.

The acting was amazing and all the cast portrayed emotions really well! Huge congratulations to them all!

I would give the show a five out of five, It was interesting, Insightful and thought provoking.

CREATIVE CORNER:

This is a place for Keziah to share any of her creative ideas that are inspired by the show!

Technology.. a bad thing or a good thing?

I personally think both.

I have had positive and negative experiences.

I have dealt with a lot of bullying online, I've also become addicted, used it to cope with life and I also find myself scrolling endlessly through it sometimes.

However I also think If used rightly it can be amazing.

I have used it to contact my friends and have had many fun phone calls and played many fun games.

I think we should limit ourselves better as technology is taking control of us a bit and Instagram and Facebook can be toxic.

I remember one of my friends who has a disability posted something about it and got so much hate.

People hide behind social media to say mean things which they wouldn't say to your face.

We must all be kind to each other online as you never know how your words could impact someone.

Let's use technology for good and not for bad.

One other thing we must be aware of is artificial intelligence.

I for one am pretty terrified of it as I don't fully trust it.

I don't actually know if it will be a good thing or a bad thing, but I do think we need to be cautious of it.
